I found a Japanese grocery store nearby thanks to a Twitter friend.

They had candy.

This is the most delicious gummy candy I have ever tasted. The apple tastes like apple. It’s awesome.

I have no idea what this is, but it’s brightly-colored, looks fun, and has katakana all over it. I bought it for my kids because it has these ever-so-cute individual packages, just large enough so that they taste some sweets, but not large enough so that it’s major sugar-crash-and-burn-meltdown time. There’s five, so it’s three for me, one for each…of…them? Yeah, I think that’s how it’s supposed to work… [sheepish grin]

My wife and I are getting iPhones in a week or two. Yes, I know, I’m joining the ranks of the evil Apple-worshipers. Err, whatever. Anyway, we got a killer deal on them, so we couldn’t pass this up, even though I will have to tolerate iTunes. (shudder) I will be rocking iAnki soon…and that’s just in time, because I’ve decided to move to Japanese keywords. Japanese keywords means a more complicated Heisig model, and ankids only supports the basic question->answer model.

I will be going to the Japanese grocery store to get more candy soon. Oh, and pictures! I took my Minidisc camera with me to get pictures, but I left it in the car. If the shop owner will let me, I’ll show you how many bazillion doramas and movies they have for rent. It’s amazing.
