こんにちは and welcome to 2nihon. This blog will be about my quest to learn Japanese. I am currently studying Remembering The Kanji by James Heisig, and have almost completed it, having about 1855 kanji of 2042 memorized. After being frustrated at all the different methods of learning Japanese, most of which are ‘just do it over and over again until it sticks’, I was refreshed to read All Japanese All The Time, the author of which seems to have discovered the most logical method of learning Japanese that I have ever seen.

In addition to my Japanese progress, you’re likely to see a picture or an anecdote here and there from my daily life. I live in America with my wife and two daughters, so as a proud father I have to brag on my beautiful wife (whom I shall call 「つま」) and two daughters, whom I will refer to as ち次女 「ちじじょ」 and 次女 「じじょ」. I work on a help desk, so perhaps you’ll see some computer humor here and there. Last, I am a devoted Christian, so you’ll likely see some mention of my faith here and there.

Hope you enjoy the blog. いく!
